Did You Fall For The Oil Company Television Commercials Promoting Renewable Gas Solutions?

To be honest I don't watch television. I get the important stuff like bits from the Daily Show and stuff on You Tube! But a few nights back a buddy gave me a call. They said that they were watching some television show on Saturday night (good lord get a life!!) and they were startled to see a commercial (gawd they watch commercials! Not even using Tivo! ) about alternative energy. They told me that they were skeptical at first as they lay there on the couch gazing at what they conceived was probably the next big campaign for conserving energy, and not a purportedly educational 30-second bit. Then they told me that the greatest surprise of all, to them, was the ending comment and that the sponsor of the commercial turned out to be. Chevron. Yes, one of the main culprits in Big Oil is proclaiming the benefits of alternative energy! My friend got so excited about this.
The declared objective of Chevron Energy Solutions is to "to help clients use less energy and save money when they do have to buy energy. So in pursuit of this mission, the Chevron subsidiary promotes alternative energy. Specifically, they seek to promote energy efficient technologies in public institutions and businesses. They achieve this through the employment of ventures and research in areas other than fossil fuels. Solar electric and stationary fuel cell systems are among these projects. THAT IS TO SAY THAT THIS IS THE STORY THAT THEY ARE TELLING THE WORLD!
"As a group of scientists, project manager, energy managers and system analysts, Chevron Energy Solutions harnesses the power and professionalism of the environmentally friendly industries - all in its quest to advance alternative energy and technology. This Chevron subsidiary seeks to not only salvage natural resources in the production of energy, but to diminish toxic emissions too. This is accomplished through the lowering in requirements for electricity that would typically be generated by fossil-fuel power plants." ARE YOU BUYING INTO THIS?
"Chevron Energy Solutions has also developed and marketed advanced energy technologies. These technologies include fuel cells,
as was stated before. They also encompass photovoltaics and advanced batteries. The company has also claimed it is active in hydrogen fuel research and development efforts as well. In fact, Chevron is pouring $300 million dollars annually into alternative fuel sources". GOTCHA!!! THE STORY STARTS TO UNRAVEL. I WILL EXPLAIN HOW SHORTLY.
So what does all of this mean? Chevron is a , a household name in the petroleum-based energy industry. And, as Big Oil , Chevron is motivated only by the "profit axiom". So, they have enough big bucks to put on a good facade and build a big infrastructure to give the appearance that they are movers and shakers in alternative energy solutions. It all appears well and good except for one little problem, well, several.
1.Vehicles are built for more than 15 years with a built in computer system. These computers actually are pre-hacked against getting the MPG that they would otherwise be capable of! If the auto manufacturing and oil companies desired people to get a bigger bang for their buck at the service station they would unhack their computers!! This is a majorly criminal action which violates agreements that these industries have with the Environmental Protection Agency and other regulatory agencies regarding fair business practices.
2.A car 100 years ago performed 40% better than our fancy shiny cars of today. That is on purpose. It couldn't be any other way!
3.And here is one that Big Oil REALLY doesn't want you to know about. The know how to run vehicless with engines that use WATER for fuel has been around for 90 years! Recently it has been made available to the average citizen via Water4Gas and their open source developments in the area which has empowered many others to participate in moving the technology forward. So Chevron is making billions every year in profit, they let go of a small percentage of that to "research" alternative fuels, meanwhile, they continue to work with car manufacturers to install artificial limitations on gas mileage and they ignore the fact that Brown's Gas, Hydrogen extracted from Water, Hydrogen On Demand and so forth are currently in use in the car engines of 1000s of drivers today AND they create the image that they are attempting to find alternative technologies as a way to hide and a diversion so that folks don't know that the technology already exists!!!
So just in case you considered that Chevron or any of the auto making companies or oil corporations were operating in the public interest, I hope I have just set you straight on that one. Folks, it is time for a revolution! And for the sake of the environment we had better start on it todayu. And we have the technology to make it happen available to us right now!
