All of our bodys require energy so that we may move and interact in our day to day lives.
When our bodys expend more energy we require food to get the energy we need.
Hence our bodys cells rely on internally stored enegy sources.

The first source our bodys turn to is Glycogen.
Glycogen is a complex carbohydrate.
65% is stored in our muscles. The rest is stored in our livers.
It is created from the excess of ingested Macronutreients, Mostly carbohydrates.

When those sources are almost gone, The body begins lipolysis.
The mobolilization and catabolism of fat stores more energy.
In this process fat cells are broken down into glycerol and fatty acids.
These again can be used to make energy.

Primary by products of this transaction are carbon dioxide and water.
Carbon dioxide is expelled through our respiratory system.
As one is dieting they must be careful not to the burn the muscle in this process.

There can be dangers in dieting

and one should know the signs to look for.
One must be very careful of Extreme calorie restriction, The medication that is taken also unusal patterns of eating.
Restricting food consumption to single meals can be dangerous.
These signs could indicate Anorexia or Buliemia, These and common eating disorders can be fatal.

Certain medications can be prescribed to assist.
Caution must be taken as some are dangerous.
Some supplements, incuding vitamins and minerals may not be effective in your plans.
Before doing any serious dieting a Physician should be consulted.

Diurectics are another method but for most should be avoided.
They can thicken your blood and cause serious internal damage.
Including cramping, Kidney and Liver damage.

One should also stay away from any type of stimulants.
Which most are all Illegal in the United States.

Fastings can also be a danger to anyone thinking about dieting.
It can be very dangerous to the body due to malnutrition.

Dieting can cause the following symptoms if not done properly.
Prolonger hunger, Depression, Reduced sex drive, Fatigue, Irritability, Fainting,
Sinus problems, Muscle atrophy, Rashes, Acidosis, Bloodshot eyes, Gallbladder disease,
Seizures, Malnutrition possibly leading to death.
