A Grim Joke For Fans Of Biofuel By GARKO Last week, a deputy division director of environmental quality for the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, admitted she had been tipped off almost a year ago by colleagues in other states that manufacturers of biodiesel were illegally disposing of glycerin, the primary emissions of biodiesel processing, mixed with methanol, another disposable byproduct that is classified as hazardous. Glycerin, an alcohol that is most commonly nontoxic and can be marketed for other purposes, but it must be cleaned first, and that is an expensive and complicated procedure. Expanded production of biodiesel has flooded the market with excess glycerin, this, of course, has resulted in it becoming less profitable to clean and sell. Five months ago, an anonymous "whistle blower" divulged that a tanker truck was illegally disposing of milky white slime into Belle Fountain Ditch, one of a large number of man-made routes that drain Missouri's Bootheel region. That waste was confirmed to be glycerin from a biodiesel plant. In January, a grand jury indicted a Missouri businessman in the discharge, which destroyed at least twenty-five thousand fish and wiped out an endangered species of mussels. Back in Alabama, Nelson Brooke of Black Warrior Riverkeeper, a nonprofit organization with the purpose of protecting and restoring the Black Warrior River and its adjuncts, got notified that there were fish dieing in September 2006 over a 20 mile stretch downstream from the city of Moundville. Even though Mr. Brooke included in the report that found oil in the water surrounding the dead fish, the state Department of Environmental Management determined that natural, seasonal shifts in oxygen levels in the water was possibly the culprit. The agency chose not to charge Alabama Biodiesel. In August of last year, Black Warrior Riverkeeper, filed a complaint in Federal District Court, documented at least twenty-four instances when oil was
noticed in the water near the plant.
MORE TROUBLES FOR BIOFUEL
Ethanol combustion was determined to be even more antagonistic than gasoline for human health. "Ethanol is being promoted as a healthful and renewable fuel that can lessen global warming and air pollution", said Stanford University atmospheric scientist Mark Jacobson.
But his research shows that the number of deaths and hospitalizations connected to breathing conditions would increase if automobiles used fuel that has high ethanol levels.
One experiment involved a comparison between gas powered vehicles to E85 powered vehicles. E85 is 85% ethanol and 15% gas. "We concluded that E85 cars diminish atmospheric levels of two carcinogens, benzene and butadiene, but increases two different ones, formaldehyde and acetaldehyde. As a result, cancer rates for E85 are likely to be similar to those for gasoline. But, in some areas of the country, E85 substantially increased ozone, a primary ingredient of smog", Jacobson said. And with that origination from Jacobson, I confess I am now even more puzzled. Because I thought the source of the situation that scientists are working so hard to solve is ozone depletion and now this guy declares that more ozone will mean more smog?? Know what? Just forget the whole thing! Way too befuddling, even for the experts, to get a grasp of. Besides there is a much simpler solution! For those who are unfamiliar, such as the "experts", WATER4GAS is offering information for a fee which individuals can use at home to build a small gizmo which infuses hydrogen into the fuel/air mixture that their car runs on. The process makes smaller particles out of the particles that the system burns as fuel. Therefore the system is able to use much more of the fuel. By doing this you can minimumly expect to lower your gasoline consumption by 12%. But many are getting thirty to fifty percent improvement or significantly more. Those goblets "musta" been pretty darn big in some systems before. But with WATER4GAS they are made consumable so you can lower your gasoline consumption. It also helps make emissions substantially cleaner. This package of info has been purchased by over 9000 car owners already and the percentage of happy customers is about 99%! So that's a start! Songwriter, activist, consumer advocate and activist, GARKO, shows you how to save gas and drive more and how to improve gas mileage through hydrogen generation which is the best of the inexpensive ways to save gas For a list of current gasoline prices in your neighborhood email garko@startlingdiscoveries.info
